At Calibrex, we are committed to giving back to the communities where we operate and build. Designing and building new homes and communities is about more than blue prints, bricks and mortar. It’s about taking care of everyone who lives in and around those new homes.
Every year, we get together as a staff and choose a few local organizations to support and we invite everyone – our partners, our trades, our homeowners and you, to join us in giving back to these important causes.
Especially around the holidays, there’s never a better time to give back to our community. Bringing a smile to someone’s face, sending food to where can be shared or showing our support for those who need it most, is what we focused on this year.
Together we can make a difference to those in need and this month, we are supporting two very special community organizations.
Yellow Brick House is a place for abused women and children in York Region. At Yellow Brick House, families are rebuilding their lives and every woman’s story begins with the courage to leave a dangerous home.
They give a voice to the untold stories of violence in our community, raise awareness of the need for change and help us move toward the end of violence against women and kids.

At a time of year when no one should go hungry, we are also collecting food for the Newmarket Food Pantry.
The Newmarket Food Pantry provides an emergency supply of 10-14 days of food to their clients, including fresh and non-perishable food items.
Formed in 1988, the Food Pantry was started in the basement of Old Town Hall and averaged 25 visits a week. Today, the Food Pantry averages 400 visits a month and assists more than 1,000 clients every month. More than 30% of their clients are under the age of 18.
During the month of December, you can bring non-perishable food items to the Calibrex office at 18-1100 Gorham Street in Newmarket.

At Calibrex Developments, giving back to our community is important to our staff and our management team. As a new home builder, we have designed and built many new construction homes, communities and new housing developments in Ontario over the last two decades and we consider all of our homeowners to be a part of the Calibrex family.
